SALSA students take home $1500
On Tuesday November 24, 15 SALSA students traveled to Gillette stadium for Norfolk County District Attorney William Morrissey's Team Rival Competition.
Each year the District Attorney partners with local businesses and not for profit organizations to challenge high school students to educate their peers. Team Rival challenges high school students to spread substance use prevention messages to their peers earning points and competing for bragging rights against rival high schools. The Needham SALSA students face off against Wellesley High School students.
In spite of a challenging 2020-2021 year, the Needham SALSA students maxed out their bracket earning 100 points and $1500 to support their prevention work. Congratulations to all of the Needham High School students who participated in Team Rival and we look forward to taking home the big prize again in 2022!
