T.I.P.S. (Training and Intervention Procedures for Servers of alcohol)

On Monday January 10th, 21 Needham business owners and employees of liquor stores and restaurants attended a TIPS training in Powers Hall. TIPS is a skills-based training program designed to prevent intoxication, underage drinking, and drunk driving. It educated attendees how to conduct responsible service and sale of alcohol in Needham. The five hours session began with a welcome from Police Chief John Schlittler and followed by co-facilitators Carol Read from the Needham Public Health Division and Sargent John Sullivan from Dedham Police.
