Here are some action steps to help transition from reading and thinking about our ideas to incorporating them into your day. The action steps are in 4 categories: Sleep, Exercise and Movement, Brain Breaks, and Social Media.
Sleep
Sleep affects every part of our body and brain. Use these tips to improve sleep and watch other areas of your life improve.
Exercise & Movement
There is lots of evidence that physical exercise improves depressive and anxiety symptoms. Living in Needham, we have many opportunities to move our bodies.
We encourage those who are able to work up a sweat on a treadmill or in a class at the Charles River YMCA.
Looking to move your body and be mindful check out a class at Steve DeMasco’s Martial Arts in Needham
Gardening is a perfect activity to move your body and calm your mind. The Needham Community Farm has education and volunteer activities. Getting your hands in the dirt is good for the body and soul.
Brain Breaks
